Our company was founded in 1976 by Bob Dykstra and Ken Wierda. Bob Dykstra retired at the end of 2006. Tim Wierda and Andy Wierda are now equal owners with Ken Wierda. Presently we have 27 full time employees with hundreds of years of combined experience in the heavy duty trucking industry. We normally have approximately 8 part-time employees.
We attempt to pay a fair wage with generous bonuses, fringe benefits and retirement programs. This allows us to keep employee turnover down and provide you with experienced personnel.
We attempt to give you several product brand choices at competitive prices in most parts and tool categories.
We attempt to be your one-stop heavy-duty parts store. If we don’t have the part you require in stock, our experienced personnel know where to find it in most situations.
We attempt to be your "low-cost” parts supplier. "Low-cost” does not always mean cheapest price. Please consider our experienced personnel, deliveries, prepaid freight programs, vendor assistance, parts availability and total inventory offerings when calculating your cost on parts purchases. If you feel however, that our prices are too high compared to competitors, advise us and in most cases we will match or beat that price.
Since 1976 Western Michigan Fleet Parts, Inc. has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to various charities. In December 2003 Marcia Wierda was diagnosed with Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia . WM is a very rare cancer. Only about 1,200 people in the United States are diagnosed each year. One of the charities we continue to donate to is The IWMF (IMWF.com) For their continued work with those with WM. Click here to find out how you can help.
